An Evolving Sector

In the construction industry, finding and retaining qualified talent is a constant challenge. High staff turnover and the demand for specialized workers make efficient hiring difficult. Given this scenario, the Chilean Chamber of Construction (Cámara Chilena de la Construcción – CChC) and the Construction Training Corporation (Corporación de Capacitación de la Construcción – OTIC CCC), in collaboration with 2Brains, developed “Trabajos en Obra”, a digital platform to improve the connection between companies and workers in the sector.

Strategy

From Idea to Implementation

“Trabajos en Obra” began in 2021 with the objective of attracting and retaining talent through an intuitive and efficient digital platform. To achieve this, various strategies were applied:

  • Documentary Research and Metric Analysis: Key data on employment supply and demand in the sector were analyzed.
  • Interviews and Workshops: Insights were collected from interviews with companies and workers.
  • Benchmark and Heuristic Analysis: The best market practices were studied to design an efficient solution.
  • UX and Technology Consulting: In 2022-2023, we carried out a series of consultancies that allowed us to give the final push to the idea of ​​a new platform.
  • Implementation: In 2024, the new “Jobs in Construction” platform will be implemented, totally independent of the National Employment Exchange (Bolsa Nacional de Empleo – BNE) and controlled directly by the CChC.
